1981:

-1st Sticker Scout Group is founded

1982:

-’Thistle and Dung Camp’

1983:

1984:

-Scouts summer camp at Llangattock in South Wales

1985:

- Scouts John O Groats to Lands End cycle ride

1986:

1991:

-(August) Scouts ‘Misty Dung’ Camp

1992:

1993:

- Scouts attend the ‘Kernow ‘93′ Jamboree

1994:

1996:

- Cubs attend ‘Cuboree ‘96′ at the County Show Ground

1997:

-Scouts attend the ‘Kernow ‘97′ Jamboree, a very very wet camp!

1998:

-Scouts summer camp at St Allen Valley

1999:

-(April) Newquay district closes and almagamates with St Austell & Par to form the new Mid Cornwall District

- (July/August) Scouts summer camp at St Keverne

2000:

-As part of the Millennium celebrations the group attends the Millenium day, runs by the county, and also (May) Millenium Camp held at Stithians Show Ground

-(July/August) Scouts summer camp at Camel Valley

- Beavers win the District Football Tournament

2001:

-(July/August) Scouts summer camp at Portholland

-(October) Scouts win the annual Bugle Football competition

2002:

-(April) Sticker hosts the overnight stop of the Coast 2 Coast Challenge, this year from Mawgan Porth to Portholland

-(July/August) Scouts summer camp at Portholland

2003:

- (July/August) Instead of the traditional summer camp, the Scouts travel up to Gilwell Park (Scouting HQ) for a week long camp along with other scout groups from the district for the ‘Kernow-Gilwell’ camp. The camp coincides with the hottest summer on record! The Scouts took part in many activities around London and also around the campsite.

2004:

-(July/August) Scouts summer camp at Ruan Lanhorn

2005:

-(July/August) Scouts summer camp at Camel Valley

-(October) Cubs and Scouts win their sections at the Bugle Football Competition

2006:

-(April) Scout Leader Paul Johnson attends the Queen’s Scout Parade at Windsor

-(April) Sticker hosts the overnight stop of the Coast 2 Coast Challenge, this year from Mawgan Porth to Charlestown

-(July/August) Scouts summer camp at Notterbridge

-(September) 1st Sticker Scout Group celebrates its 25th anniversary with an open day and a campfire in the evening.

-GSL John Sargeant is awarded the Bar to the Long Service Decoration at the above event for all his work with the group over the past 25 years

-(September) Scouts take part in the Challenge 350 walk along the coast path staying overnight at Portholland (with fierce storms. On day 2 they are joined by Beavers, Cubs and parents for a second section of coast path.

-(October) Cubs win the Bugle Football Tournament for a second year running

2007:

- (January) The year long celebration of the Centenary of Scouting begins

-(April) Scouts camp on Brownsea Island, Dorset, on the annual visit along with other groups from Mid Cornwall, this year marking the camp where Baden Powell began Scouting in 1907

-(April) All sections take part in the Mid Cornwall District Centenary Challenge walk: www.coast-2-coast.org.uk

-(April) GSL John Sargeant is awarded his Silver Acorn at the St George’s Day Service

-(May) Cubs and Scouts camp at the county ‘Centenary Camp’, held at Stithians Show Ground over 4 days, with the Beavers visiting for a day. The Scouts stay on after the main camp finishes along with 1st Bugle and 1st Par, St Blazey&Fowey for their summer camp.
