1st Sticker Scout Group

1st Sticker Scout Group has been running since 1981. It is part of Mid Cornwall district in Cornwall, located in the village of Sticker, near St Austell.

We offer Scouting for Beavers (6-8 years), Cubs (8-10 and a half years), Scouts (10 and a half-14 years) and Explorers (14-18 years).

The aim of Scouting is promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential. In Scouting, we believe that young people develop most when they are ‘learning by doing’,  when they are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves.

Each section is run by a skilled team of leaders and helpers, who despite what many people may think, do not get paid for what they do, it is all voluntary! We always welcome help; if you are interested in coming along and helping out, or maybe have a skill which could be used one evening as an activity for a section, then please contact us using the details on the contact us section of this site.
